Kayleigh Fisher


B.M. in music education Capital University


Kayleigh Fisher will graduate from Capital University in May 2023 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. She has been playing flute for 11 years. In 2018, Kayleigh performed at Severance Hall alongside Kenny Loggins, and Kayleigh performed alongside Jason Mraz in 2019. She also traveled with the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra in 2019 to perform in Austria, Slovakia, and Hungary. In 2020 she received the Capital University Outstanding Flutist Award. As co-principal flutist of the Capital University Symphonic Winds, Kayleigh performed “Still I Rise” in Chicago, IL for the
2020 Collegiate Band Directors National Association and “all stars are love” at Carnegie Hall for the 2022 New York Wind Band Festival.

Kayleigh has experience teaching private flute lessons as well as teaching flute sectionals. She has worked with flute students in the Kenston High School Marching Band, the West Geauga Marching Band, the Columbus Academy Pep Band, and was an Assistant Marching Band Director at Thomas Worthington High School for the 2022 season. Kayleigh also currently works as flute section coach for Capital University’s Junior Winds, where she has prepared 3 flute choir pieces for performance with her students. Kayleigh is excited to share her love of flute playing with students, and to help them grow to their highest potential.
