Pufan Wang has studied piano since she was 6 years old. After graduating from Western Michigan University, she starts her Doctoral program with Prof. Steven Glaser at OSU. Her performance experience includes solo recitals and chamber music performances in China and the United States. The repertoire consists of both traditional and contemporary music. As a collaborative pianist, she recently worked for the OSU wind symphony.
Pufan’s teaching experience includes individual teaching and group lessons. 2 years of teaching as the instructor of the Gilmore After-school piano program allows her to work with different students and learn how to communicate with them. Years of private piano teaching fuels her passion for bringing music to more people. She believes that the most crucial goal of piano teaching is to develop a lifelong enjoyment of music, and her role as a teacher is to help and
motivate students to achieve this goal.
