 ACADEMY POLICIES

Private lessons

Our teachers reserve time on their schedules, plan for your lessons and invest in the long-term development of each student. To provide regular, quality lessons, the following policies need to be observed.

FREE TRIAL LESSONS FOR NEW STUDENTS

  • Trial Lessons are restricted to one lesson per student, per teacher (i.e you can try more than one teacher, but not have several Trial Lessons with the same teacher).

  • Trial lessons are available for more than one instrument/teacher and are available for a $35 fee.

Why have a Trial Lesson?

Prior to enrolling in our Membership Program for weekly lessons, you may sign up for a Trial Lesson, meet the teacher and experience a complete lesson. It is a great way to test drive a lesson without the concerns of a long term commitment, and make sure there is a perfect fit between the student and the teacher.

Membership Tuition:

  1. A $30 non-refundable registration fee is due at initial sign-up.

  2. Returning Member is a member with one (1) or more months’ gap between enrollment.

  3. Tuition is a flat monthly fee. Most months have four (4) or five (5) lessons, and on rare occasions, three (3) lessons when in observance of major national holidays.

  4. Membership guarantees a regular weekly lesson time with your teacher.

  5. As a service to our valued members, we provide:

    •   Two (2) yearly recital performance opportunities at no additional cost.

  6. Educational material, music books, instrument rental and other accessories are additional cost.

  7. Members may purchase additional exam or recital preparation lessons.

  8. Membership Tuition is due monthly on the 1st of each month and billed automatically to your credit card (VISA or Mastercard) or debit card on-file (“auto-pay”).

  9. A $25 late fee will be charged for payment received after the 4th of each month for non auto-pay members.

  10. A $25 fee will be charged for each returned check.

Membership Cancellation:

  1. Membership may be cancelled with a 30-day notice before the 1st of the month by emailing info@dnamusic.academy.

  2. Cancellation will be effective as of the month next tuition is due. You may withdraw the cancellation at any time before it takes effect, but your teacher and/or time slot can not be guaranteed.

  3. Membership is not transferable.

  4. DNA MUSIC ACADEMY does not provide tuition refund under any circumstances.

  5. DNA MUSIC ACADEMY reserves the right to terminate membership, in which case prorated tuition will be refunded.

Attendance:

  1. Students are expected to be punctual to their weekly lessons.

  2. Students who are late for a lesson cannot be guaranteed their lesson time.

  2. A Make-up Lesson Pass will be issued when a lesson is cancelled with at least 24-hour advance notice (By email).

  4. The Make-up Lesson Pass expires 30 days after membership ends. It can be used to schedule Make-up lesson online or by email at any time with your teacher or a substitute, based on availability.

  5. Make-up lessons cannot be rescheduled.

  6. No more than two (2) Make-up Lesson Passes can be pending at a time per membership.
