Kayleigh Fisher

B.M. in music education Capital University

Bio

Kayleigh Fisher is currently the music and band teacher at St. Joseph Montessori School. She graduated from Capital University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. During her time at Capital, she received the Capital University Outstanding Flutist Award as well as the Timothy E. Swinehart Award for Outstanding Senior in Music Education and Overall Music Performance. Kayleigh has previously worked as an Assistant Marching Band Director with Thomas Worthington High School and as flute section coach for the Capital University Junior Winds.

 

Kayleigh has been playing flute for over a decade. In 2018, she performed at Severance Hall alongside Kenny Loggins and with Jason Mraz in 2019. She also travelled with the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra in 2019 to perform in Austria, Slovakia, and Hungary. As co-principal flutist of the Capital University Symphonic Winds, Kayleigh performed “Still I Rise” in Chicago, IL for the 2020 Collegiate Band Directors National Association Conference and “all stars are love” at Carnegie Hall for the 2022 New York Wind Band Festival. Kayleigh is excited to share her love of flute playing with students, and to help them grow to their highest potential. Her students have previously won competitions including the Dublin Community Bands Youth Solo Competition.
