Pufan Wang is a highly accomplished pianist and dedicated music educator. Her musical journey began at the age of 6 when she first started studying piano.  After completing her Master of Music at Western Michigan University, Pufan embarked on her Doctoral program at OSU (Ohio State University) under the tutelage of renowned pianist Steven Glaser. Pufan's performance experience spans across both China and the United States, where she has showcased her talent through solo recitals and chamber music performances. Her repertoire encompasses a wide range of musical styles, including both traditional and contemporary pieces. In addition to her solo endeavors, Pufan has also excelled as a collaborative pianist, most notably working with the OSU wind symphony.

Pufan's teaching experience is equally impressive. She has taught both individual lessons and group classes, providing her with a well-rounded understanding of different teaching methods and approaches. She served as an instructor for the Gilmore After-school piano program, where she had the opportunity to work with a diverse range of students. This experience enriched her teaching skills and honed her ability to effectively communicate with students of varying ages and abilities.

Years of private piano teaching have further fueled Pufan's passion for sharing the gift of music with others. She firmly believes that the ultimate goal of piano instruction is to cultivate a lifelong enjoyment of music in her students. As a teacher, she sees her role as not only imparting technical knowledge and musical understanding but also as a source of inspiration and motivation. Pufan strives to create a supportive and nurturing environment that encourages her students to reach their full potential and develop a deep love for music.
