Yoyo is an active member of Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) where she volunteers for numerous community music events and competitions including serving as a judge for the district festival in 2015 and Federation Festival in 2018. She was the co-chair of the OMTA/Graves Piano competition in 2019.  Yoyo’s students have won prizes at various competitions and festivals, including OMTA/Graves Piano Competition, CMTA Achievement Awards and Piano Day Competition at Capital University. Her students have also participated in the Piano Guild Auditions, receiving excellent grades since 2014.

High standards and a persistence of excellence has made her studio stand out among others. Yoyo strives to help each student achieve their full potential in music by participating in judicial events but also believes in the power of learning to play music to help enrich their lives. Yoyo believes the role of a piano teacher is not just an educator but a mentor and life coach to students.
It has always been a dream for Yoyo to have her own music school so that she could promote her teaching philosophy and train new generations of students and teachers who share the same goals and, for teachers, a passion for teaching.
